Charlie lives in Bristol, England, and has visited, worked or studied in 33 countries so is an experienced and vibrant traveller and teacher. With Celtic blood and a love of culture and languages, she continues these passions through hiking, guiding and writing. Having a Geography and International Relations degree, as well as a Fine Art degree, Charlie has a broad spectrum of interests, with an inquisitive nature to continue learning through travel; finding new voices, places and flavours.

Her passion for landscapes, long walks and socio-political geography has led Charlie to live in China and Switzerland, to walk a 500-mile pilgrimage and study yoga and meditation internationally.

One of the Rick Steves’ guiding Team, Charlie is grateful to have the opportunity to continuously see the world through other’s eyes and share the excitement of exploration with her travel companions.

She is available for UK and European tours, and for those unable to travel, Charlie offers virtual tours online for the UK and Switzerland. Charlie also writes personalized travel poetry recapturing your treasured travel memories, after a consultation and cup of tea together/online, Charlie will take your story and create a completely unique and lyrical poem, especially for you and about your personal trip. This is a beautiful way to remember the sights and sounds, feels and flavours of a trip through language. And finally, for those looking for their next adventure, Charlie hosts global travel planning sessions and leads classes in wellbeing for healthy and happy travels.
